The Applicability of TOPSIS- and Fuzzy TOPSIS-Based Taguchi Optimization Approaches in Obtaining Optimal Fiber-Reinforced Concrete Mix Proportions

This research aims to illustrate and express the impact of analytical techniques such as TOPSIS- FTOPSIS-based Taguchi models on obtaining optimum design fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC).Three levels silica fume content, fly ash water-to-cementitious (W/C) ratio, superplasticizer content were examined in present work. However, steel fiber (1%) maximum aggregate size 14 mm kept constant for all mixes. Once experimental results obtained following Taguchi’s method, it was used input data TOPSIS FTOPSIS models. The set mixture factor determined by identifying two modules. optimal FRC mix proportions from model 5% 0% 0.27 W/C 0.5% superplasticizer. Multi-response optimization approaches are essential optimize achieve required strengths, workability, production cost.
